Brigid Benson Writer & Broadcaster

It must be something to do with childhood holidays touring remote parts of Scotland in a jam-packed camper van that fired my fascination for the sea.

Or perhaps it was Cornish summers under billowing canvas, or maybe home life on a peninsula with Wales over the water to one side and Ireland across the waves to another. Whatever the spark, the character of people and places continues to inspire my writing.

Often on the move, always curious and regularly meeting good people, if you'd like to follow my blog, please call in at

I'm really lucky - my work takes me all over the world for both commercial and personal projects. In my landscape work, it's always my aim to show not just what a place looks like, but what it feels like - that's really what drives me.

Having travelled all around the shores of Britain I have created a special collection of fine art prints from the 52 weekends by the Sea project and you can see those on the Fine Art Prints page. My work is held in public and private collections throughout the world and if you would like to see more pictures then please visit  or follow my blog at  for new work and behind-the-scenes stories from recent shoots.
