It must be something to do with childhood holidays touring remote parts of Scotland in a jam-packed camper van that fired my fascination for the sea.

Or perhaps it was Cornish summers under billowing canvas, or maybe home life on a peninsula with Wales over the water to one side and Ireland across the waves to another. Whatever the spark, the character of people and places by the sea continues to inspire my writing.

I'm really lucky - my work takes me all over the world for both commercial and personal projects. In my landscape work, it's always my aim to show not just what a place looks like, but what it feels like - that's really what drives me.
